Our Church Doctrine - Biblical Beliefs and Baptist Statement of Faith
I. The Scriptures:
The Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.
It is sufficient for faith and practice and serves as the final authority in doctrine and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21
II. The Triune God:
We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence and distinct in person.
God is holy, sovereign, loving, and just.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19
God’s movement toward humanity reveals His desire to dwell with His people.
III. God the Father:
God the Father reigns over His creation with wisdom, power, and love,
offering salvation through Jesus Christ.
IV. God the Son:
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived sinlessly, died for sinners,
rose from the dead, and will return in glory.
John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
V. The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers for service.
John 16:8; Ephesians 1:13–14
VI. Humanity and Sin:
Humanity was created in God’s image but fell into sin.
All people need redemption through Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23; 5:12
VII. Salvation:
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Believers are forgiven, justified, and given eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9
Assurance rests securely in Christ’s finished work on the cross, where His sacrifice fully accomplished redemption,
guaranteeing forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life for all who trust in Him alone.
VIII. The Church:
The church is the body of Christ made up of believers.
Local churches gather for worship, discipleship, and mission.
IX. Ordinances:
- Baptism – Public testimony of faith
- The Lord’s Supper – Remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice
X. The Mission:
The church is called to make disciples of all nations and proclaim the gospel worldwide.
XI. Marriage and Family:
Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman.
The family is foundational to society and the church.
XII. Last Things:
Christ will return, bringing judgment and eternal life for believers.
Revelation 20–21
Pastoral Vision:
We seek to proclaim Christ faithfully, build a gospel-centered community,
and reach both local and global audiences through faithful teaching and mission.
